TIBET
Skydancer | A Living Saint in Tibet
Tibetan Buddhism is a non-theistic tradition which prevents its teaching from conflicting with the messages of religions such as Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
At its essence, it’s a science which helps to explain the nature of reality from a very practical and logic based perspective.

Much is known about the powerful male Lamas of spiritual teachers from Tibet. His Holiness the Dalai Lama is one of the most revered spiritual teachers in the world.
But little is said or recorded about the great female Tibetan Buddhist practitioners.
Khandroma Kunzang Wangmo, or “Skydancer” is a renowned teacher and yogini living in a remote region of Eastern Tibet.
She is a figure of a dying generation of Tibetans whom still hold the keys to their ancient ways of living.
Living in remote corners of the Himalayas, this woman inspires with her presence.
Commonly known as “Khandroma,” she embodies what it means to be a “khandro” or “sky goer.” In Tibetan Buddhism, khandros can be either heavenly beings or earthly women with remarkable spiritual qualities. Unlike many Tibetan women who are humble and soft spoken – often to the point of self-denigration – Khandroma possesses a quiet power.
Khandroma wangmo, or "Skydancer," gives assurance and guidance to a family who had recently lost a relative in childbirth.
Khandroma is the great grand daughter of Dudjom Lingpa, a renowned 19th century master (1835–1904) who is considered a body emanation of Khyeuchung Lotsawa. He was one of the 25 disciples of Padmasambhava, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism.
Khandroma is a rare female lineage holder of this tradition.
Her position as a woman “lama” or teacher is particularly unique. Khandroma is renowned among Tibetans for being a great teacher and practitioner in the Nyingma Tradition.

She now resides at her home near Sershul in the region of Dzachuka.
This is a very remote area of the Himalayan plateau where few westerners have had access in the past.
Khandroma is a charming and unusual woman who carries with her a profound message of personal peace.
She is a living saint of Tibet.
A living saint down to earth – in a time where our role models are based on the power of sex appeal, fame good lucks and intelligence, she is a women who shows us the power that comes from taking command of one’s choices, and one’s life.
The power that comes from the selflessness of choosing to place others before oneself.
